    • Great question about application of learning. The University setting is a preparatory environment with students seeking ways that learning can apply to their career interests. Adult learners seek immediate application of learning rather than potential future use of learning. Designing learning experiences rather than just courses requires some input from the students to connect learning principles to particular use. In teaching design students, helping them learn a few skills to begin freelancing provided ways to advance subject matter to learning experiences with practical application.
